The wine and cheese selection competition of 2019 in Faro, Portugal
We met Joel and Amy in Faro Portugal to spend a few nights exploring the Algarve coast. Highlights:
Visiting the ‘insta famous’ cliff surrounded beach of Praia Do Camilo. Sipping beers on the beach, braving quick dips in the ice cold water, and of course getting some perfect insta pics.
Picking up some sustenance (pastel de nata) before getting a boat out to Armona Island, walking the some 20-30 minutes ending with a long boardwalk leading to one of the most visually stunning beaches. Expansive sand bars, differing water depths, the sun highlighting perfectly the different shades of blue, and nearly no other people there.
How good and cheap the wine was! We had many a magnum of wine (luxe!) and then decided to have a wine and cheese selection competition amongst us 4...obviously an ‘event’ that was going to be loved by everyone.
