Wine & cheese with friends...a full weekend of it!
It was about time that we ventured our way back onto the continent for a weekend of wine tasting, the challenge was deciding where to go. After hours of pain staking research from Boni (... she secretly LOVES it), we found out about the Swiss wine region along the banks of Lake Geneva and we were sold!
We then convinced two of our oldest friends Joel & Amy.... they didn’t really need any convincing (*warning you will be seeing their faces in a lot of upcoming posts haha).
Arriving in Geneva late on a Friday night, we had pre organised a transfer to Lausanne which turned out to be the most luxe party car. Joel was nominated by the group to sit in the front and play ‘DJ’... though the driver didn’t seem to like his choice of tracks and proceeded to play his own... haha.
Waking up, ready to drink our our weight in wine..... and it was raining 😩, definitely didn’t look like the google pics. But it turns out that was not a problem as the autumn colours were out in force painting such a beautiful back drop for trying some amazing wine and meandering through the steep terraced vineyards.
Safe to say we drank quite a bit and ended the weekend with a cheese fondu which shortened all our lives by at least a year!
