New York, New York
To celebrate Boni getting old and entering her 30’s we took trip over to New York. The priority of the trip... very clearly basketball and all the naughty American foods.
We were lucky enough to see 2 NBA games at Madison Square Gardens. While both games were uneventful (neither of them were against the Blazers) we still had an amazing experience getting to watch the game we love in the flesh in such an iconic stadium.
For the rest of the we made it a personal quest to try ‘all the foods’ very seriously, indulging in: double dog and soda; Reuben sandwiches; everything bagels with schmear and lox; thickshakes; pancakes.
We also threw in some class, as Chris spoilt Boni with a wine and cheese tasting on a boat that cruised the Hudson and around Liberty Island (very cool cruse that heroed female wine and cheese makers); and had world class sushi at Jewel Bako.
We really enjoyed the vibe of New York and loved staring endlessly at all the bright lights out our hotel level 24 room window!
