Last but not least Euro weekend
Last European trip before leaving to come home (or start the ‘long way home’) and we finally made it to Barcelona!
As usual for our weekend get aways, we arrived in the evening on Friday night hoping for somthing to be open. Thank you to Spain’s late night culture , we stumbled across an amazing bodega and smashed some delicious tapas and a stunning bottle of wine...the weekend started off right!
Spurred on by our hatred for paying for tours, we put together our own walking tour for this city and to see as many of Gaudi’s buildings as possible. This was a great way to get a feel for the city and we even found another little amazing tapas bar (was never in doubt) for lunch!
The rest of our weekend we enjoyed the spoils of the ultimate ‘city meets beach’ scene. Stuffing our faces with pastry’s while sitting at the beach and drinking as many bottles of wine as we could handle.
We definitely enjoyed the Barcelona lifestyle and will definitely be going back!
